Associate, Actuarial - Financial Reviewer

This position is in the Actuarial Financial Reporting & Reinsurance area of the Individual Life Insurance Department. The individual will be involved in the financial reporting and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and year-end inforce and statutory, gaap and tax reserve liabilities. They will also be involved in the preparing of various exhibits to be included in the Annual Statements, will work with audit staff to gain approval for the reported reserve information and will respond to internal management requests for information.
Primary Responsibilities include the following:
- Develop, maintain, enhance, and run SQL for reserve and inforce reporting
- Review reserve and inforce results
- Periodically update for new captives and reinsurance agreements
- Add new products to existing spreadsheets
- Assist with special reporting projects such as Capital management changes and Reporting requirement changes
- Generate custom/ad hoc reports as needed
- Maintain and enhance reporting controls and documentation
- College Degree (BA / BS) required.
- Self-motivated individual with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong control consciousness.
- Strong computer skills including Excel and Microsoft Access are desirable.
