Description:
 
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with experience developing, troubleshooting, and performing vaccine clinical assays in a regulated clinical laboratory environment. Experience with molecular methods such as PCR (real-time, RT-PCR, sequencing) and nucleic acid extraction is highly desired. Experience with serological, cell-based viral neutralization assays or immunological laboratory tests are also highly desired. Roles and responsibilities include supporting crucial assay development, optimization and validation, clinical assay testing, sample management and processing, and application of quality systems per regulatory requirements. A willingness to explore and learn new assay techniques as needed. The candidate will also be responsible for general laboratory upkeep, maintenance, and ordering of supplies. Strong data analysis skills are required. The position will require the employee to prepare detailed technical reports, SOPs, internal presentations, and documents to support regulatory filings. The candidate will be well organized with excellent oral and written communication skills, and will be able to manage several projects simultaneously. Analytical computer skills including use of data fitting software, electronic laboratory notebooks, and Microsoft Office are desired. The position requires work with infectious agents and/or pathogens
 
 

Education:
BS degree (Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or a related Biological Sciences discipline preferred) with 3 or more years of experience in industry or a MS Degree in same disciplines.


Required:
Expertise in molecular biology techniques, particularly PCR and/or expertise in serological and cell-based assay techniques. Basic tissue culture experience is expected.

Strong data analysis skills are required. Experience running qualified / validated assays and working in a regulated environment is a must.


Experience:
Familiarity with assay automation, or design of experiments (DoE) is a plus.

Familiarity with both immunological and molecular assay procedures and platforms is a plus.
