GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Lane Architect’s overall responsibility is to partner with the Business Relationship Management team (BRM), Product management, Senior IT management and using their enterprise development experience recommend, design, drive software solutions which support the product objectives and feature requirements. The Lane Architect will work in collaboration with Project Management Office (PMO) and multiple IT stakeholders in creating solutions that help alignment of business strategy to IT strategy. The Lane Architect focuses on Product architecture, pursuit strategy and approach, integration and problem solving. They use their deep knowledge of enterprise architecture across a wide breadth of application areas and understanding of DaVita’s global delivery model to lead teams in defining solutions that help meet business needs outlined by customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Thefollowing duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations ofthis position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.
- Responsiblefor the development of the overall vision that underlies the projected solutionand transforms that vision through a collaborative execution into the solution
- TheLane Architect focuses on recommending and designing solutions that meet theproduct’s specified feature set (Product vertical) and collaborates with otherarchitectural teams to integrate into DaVita’s enterprise.
- Providearchitectural design and advice for the selected solution that:
- Helpsthe BRM work with the customer to verify that they're satisfied with whatthey're getting
- Providesa blueprint for the project manager to plan with
- Informsthe constructors so that they can estimate cost & effort
- Liaisewith:
- Theproduct team to ensure alignment with requirements
- Theproject manager to identify appropriate constructor engagement
- Constructorsto validate feasibility & provide support throughout construction
- Write& present eloquently with the appropriate audience perspective in mind
- Build& maintain excellent relations with key stakeholders PMO, Dev, Product, QA& Infrastructure & Security
- Applytheir creative skills & talents in devising effective designs (a.k.a.thought leadership)
- Abilityto collaborate and lead cross functional or multi-discipline teams to formulatesolution strategy combining various aspects of architecture such as security,infrastructure etc.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline. Advanced degree or relevant education preferred.
- 8-10+ years of related large enterprise IT experience.
- Expert knowledge of the following programming languages, frameworks, methodologies: Microsoft .Net, C#, MS SQL Server and/or Oracle, Database normalization and performance, Service Oriented architecture (SOA), Design patterns (Factory, etc).
- Minimum 5 years work experience involving technical consulting, solution design, project envisioning, planning, development, deployment, and management.
- Proficient using Microsoft’s Visio, Team Foundation server, Visual Studio, Erwin, or other data modeling and architecting tools.
- Demonstrated analysis and communication skills connecting technology and business problems.
- Deep technical knowledge and broad healthcare industry knowledge that fosters prompt and thorough analysis of requirements and identification of multiple solution options to address the business need.
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent analytical and technical skills
- Experience in Healthcare IT preferred
- Strong knowledge of IT systems,practices and functional units.
- Collaborative, diplomatic and articulate demeanor that encourages broad base acceptance and support of solutions which align with strategic technology direction of the company.
