Client Engagement Manager

PURPOSE
Provide project related support and/or lead projects with limited direction for Client Engagement Team (CET) project(s), department initiatives and administrative tasks to achieve quality metrics. Provide proactive and strategic support to ensure all work is conducted in accordance with SOPs, policies and practices, ICH/GCP, patient privacy protection and applicable regulatory requirements.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
·         Contribute to the strategic direction of allocated accounts & projects by encompassing all aspects of program / project development using knowledge of market issues, company and project strategic objectives. Link in with Quintiles service offerings where appropriate to provide a comprehensive communications solution to clients
·         With support from senior team members, take responsibility for team sales target.  Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities with specified client(s)
·         Lead in project plan development, kick-off and team meetings, and issue escalation to Sr. Oversight.  As needed act as back-up support for internal project team members to ensure communication is maintained and reporting schedules are adhered to
·         Manage the project scope-of-work and budget for each assigned CET project/initiative
·         Lead in the establishment and maintenance of all project documentation including files, records and reports according to the scope of work and Quintiles/client SOPs
§  With limited direction lead the coordination and tracking of all data, department metrics, communications, documents, materials and supplies for assigned projects
§  Coordinate technical development efforts with IT / vendors / other Quintiles groups as needed
§  Support the updating and maintenance of internal systems, databases, tracking tools, timelines and project plans with project specific information
§  Prepare presentation materials and coordinate internal/external meetings; host and lead meetings as needed
§  Provide support on investigator and patient based projects
§  Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement processes
§  Complete required corporate training courses and department administration items on schedule with high quality
§  Identify and escalate discrepancies with defined solutions for resolution in project tracking data
§  Provide regular account / project updates to the account team
§  Manage project(s) with professionalism and quality, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
§  Mentor and train more junior project support staff

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 Understanding of applicable clinical research regulatory requirements; i.e. Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines

 Strong communication, presentation, problem solving and interpersonal skills;  including good command of English language

 Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline

 Good teamwork skills and ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

 Knowledge of all aspects of pharmaceutical communications / product development

 Demonstrable leadership and influencing skills of peers, business partners, clients and associates

 Experience presenting to internal and external audiences including clients

 Experience working in a highly matrixed organization

 Demonstrated ability to work creatively and independently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing priorities

 Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications

 Strong project management and client service skills

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Relevant bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry or agency environment; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers

 Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech

 Regular sitting for extended periods of time

 May require limited travel
