Position Overview:
As a postdoctoral fellow in Molecular & Investigative Toxicology you will work with a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary team of scientists to apply understanding of fundamental mechanisms to solve drug development problems relating to drug hypersensitivity reactions. You will conceive, design, plan and implement a research program that will enable the creation of a preclinical testing strategy that can identify the immune mediated hypersensitivity potential of new drug candidates.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitor, evaluate and leverage new technologies that enable preclinical de-risking of compounds.
- Investigate mechanisms of immune related safety concerns raised in in vivo models toxicology studies to help inform on relevance to humans.
- Lead the development and implementation of assays and protocols that enable de-risking of human safety findings that surface in human clinical trials and are not seen in conventional in vivo model studies.
- Publish as primary or lead author in high quality, peer-reviewed, scientific journals.
Education Minimum Requirement:

PhD in Immunology, Immunotoxicology or related life science.
Required Experience and Skills:
-
PhD, or met all the requirements for a PhD by June 2015, with 3 years or less postdoctoral experience

Experience in assay development and innovation
-
Ability to design experiments, interpret and track results, and utilize this information to enable further development of a project

Superior written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Experience and Skills:
-
Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals

Expertise with any of the following: ELISPOT, ELISA, Flow cytometry, Lymphocyte tissue culture models, proteomics
