Position Summary

Process employee information and maintain employee records on the HRIS, including benefits and pensions.  Maintain retiree records and processing life insurance claims.  Coordinate and  administer reward programs.  Provide ongoing customer service to employees and members of the HR team.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update all employee data in HRIS and personnel files for all Canadian employees as well as retirees.

• Update Northern Trust system for new retirees

• Process all life insurance claims for retiree population

• Maintain and update Org Charts on a monthly basis

• Process standard reports for HR and Business needs

• Provide support for Performance Management system for Canadian users and HR Business Partners

• Ensure personnel processes and practices are in compliance with audit and governance requirements.  Create and maintain in-house procedure and administrative manuals.

• Coordinate and administer reward programs (Long Service Awards, IThank, Scholarship program, Christmas Gift program)

• Process departmental invoices for payment

• Maintain employee personnel files and departmental stationary

• Back up for Rewards Analyst to process payrolls and reporting

• Assist with Reward team mailings

• Interact with employees/retirees, answer questions, investigate issues and any concerns with regard to rewards and monitor HR email

• Participate on special project teams as required

 

Required Skills & Abilities

• Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and BI reporting

• Experience with UltiPro Software

• Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to meet stringent deadlines

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

• Experience with and good understanding of Canadian tax rules, payments & agencies

Education & Experience

• Business diploma in Human Resources required; Bachelor degree in Business Commerce (Human Resources) preferred

• 1 - 2 years experience within the Human Resources field preferred
