Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated customer service professional to join the Mosaic Bar and Grill as Assistant Restaurant Manager. This positionis a highly visible roles ti assist in overseeing the operations in the Food and Beverage outlets.
Interested candidates must have the ability to work flexible work schedules to meet business demands including weekends, holidays, mornings, afternoons and evening shifts.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Ensuring the efficient running of the restaurant, bars and in-room dining program are in line with Hyatt's Corporate Strategies and brand standards
- Assist in scheduling teams in accordance to the Collective Agreement
- Coaching and counseling employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
- Follow up on established training steps
- Regularly ensure guest expectations are met and receive feedback through continous guest interaction
- Plan and execute specialty parties
- Conduct pre-shift meetings with associates
- Provide guidance to food and beverage department managers

- Must have at least 2 years of Food and Beverage Management experience
- Proven leadership skills
- Must have Serving It Right certificate
- Must have Food Safe certificate
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in the English language
- Must have the ability to interact in a genuine manner with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds
- Must be proficient in Office software
- Previous experience with Micros and Open Table preferred
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
- Must have the ability to be flexible in shift schedules
- Must have previous restaurant experience
- Having a second language is an asset
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
