Area Sales Manager responsible for new and existing business within the South

East region.

 

·         To maintain and develop existing Area business in line with set goals and objectives relating to margin and revenue performance.

 

·         To develop the Area by identifying new business leads and opportunities and by cold calling on prospective targeted customers and building relationships within existing customers, obtaining referrals.

 

·         To proactively drive the territory business forward by developing an Area business plan,  in-line with the business strategy and sector focus.

 

·         To maintain and develop accounts on the sales territory by lateral expansion and new product introduction

 

·         To effectively promote and manage the sales of Linx products within the defined sales area

 

·         To attend sales meetings, conferences and training courses when requested by the company

 

·         Complete all administration, reports and requests within set guidelines and on time to ensure all business opportunities are fully taken advantage of and that all requested information is communicated to the Head Office or line manager in an accurate and standardised fashion.

 

·         To communicate all competitor activity to your line manager as requested.


 

The successful candidate will have:

·         A proven track record in a front line sales role.

·         Technical sales in a business to business environment

·         Experience of selling capital equipment into the industrial market.

·         A proven track record of success.

·         Drive, enthusiasm and determination.

·         Experience of generating leads, winning accounts and identifying sales opportunities.

·         Experience of journey planning – evidence of managing a sales territory and coverage thereof.

 

 

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will ideally be located within the territory and will need to have access to a home office.  This is a field based role and requires someone who is comfortable spending the maximum amount of time in front of customers.  They will be required to visit the St Ives office intermittently for meetings – predominantly Sales Meetings.
