Job Title: Risk Business Partner

 

Job purpose: 

 

To assist TCG management in the development and implementation of a formal risk management framework. Work closely with the business to identify and assess key risks to achieving strategic, operational, financial, and compliance objectives. Communicate risk areas to management and internally to the Group Head of Risk to facilitate risk mitigation plans. Assist in the preparation of Board and Audit Committee Papers. As a member of the Enterprise and Audit team, support a strategy of continuous innovation, development and improvement for the function.

 

Key accountabilities:

 

• Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
• Assist the Group Head of Risk in all aspects of risk operations including risk assessment planning, delivery and reporting.
• Review the Group’s control environment to identify key risk indicators and set clear actions, where required to respond to those risks.
• Maintain knowledge of Group Risk Management standards and external requirements such as the UK Corporate Governance Code.
• Conduct quarterly risk refresh sessions with management to update the risk registers and to review progress in the implementation of internal controls/mitigating actions.
• Building, developing and maintaining relationships with key internal contacts.

Technical / professional qualifications:

 

• Experience in managing enterprise risk for global organisations
• Strong analytical skills
• Degree level qualification.
• Good written and presentation communication skills
• Understanding of COSO and ISO Risk frameworks
• Big 4 qualified with experience gained in managing and delivering risk management engagements is a plus
• Recently qualified risk management practitioner is a plus (IRM or other)
