Partner Specialist

The CDW Partner Specialist position is focused on supporting CDW Account Managers with technical presales questions, create customer configurations and assist with pricing program questions. Due to these activities the Partner Specialists will have direct day-to-day contact with the sales force. The Partner Specialist role is also responsible for educating Account Managers on the technologies and resources available to them.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Achieve assigned Revenue and profit goals.
- Work in conjuction with the Partner Business Development Specilist to assist and execute strategic plans.
- Look for ways to increase Account Manger/Sales Manager Profitibility through program utilization and solution selling.
- Responsible for answering presales technical questions.
- Educating account managers on the products and resources to help them become as self-sufficient as possible.
- Responsible for reviewing quotes and orders to minimize RMAs and identify potential add-on opportunities.
- Identify tools for increasing CDW Account Manager productivity.
- Obtain relevant industry and/or partner certifications and attend approved outside trainings.
- Develop sales tools to assist account managers in providing solutions to their customers.
- Completion of monthly scorecard tracking sales interactions.
- Conduct conference calls and customer presentations as necessary.
- Assist in training of CDW Account Managers.
- Work with other departments at CDW to further relationships with customers, CDW, Partners, and Account Managers.
- Assist Partners with internal marketing efforts at CDW designed to increase sales.
Essential Function Time Allocation:
- 10% Partner meetings/Conference calls
- 60% Sales support via email, conference calls, and customer visits.
- 20% Execute partner joint initiatives on the sales floor.
- 10% Work with Partner Product Managers, marketing teams and/or day to day partner sales resources as well as CDW product management team.
Responsibilities
- Work with the CDW Brand Manager/Client Computing Mgr./Partner Business Development Specialists on the execution
- Provide feedback to CDW Product Management & Purchasing concerning stocking levels and sales trends/feedback
- Adhere to ethical and fair business practices, following the CDW Way Principles.
- Maintain effective communications with all stakeholders.
- Participate in annual performance review and talent review processes.
- Travel as needed
- Maintain expense expectations
- Other special projects upon request
- Success Metrics:
- Meet or exceed designated partner revenue expectations for assigned partner
- Meeting or exceeding designated partner controllable margin expectations for assigned partner.
- Consistent completion of monthly scorecard
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or 3 years experience in technology sales.
- 3 years experience or a defined type of proficiency with Microsoft Office and computers.

- Ability to think creatively and come up with proactive ideas that will increase sales.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in technology sales
- Certifications (Network+, Server+, MCSE)
- Experience working in a fast-paced work environment
