Client HR Manager - Grain And Oilseed Supply Chain North America

A member of the GOSCNA business unit HR team who is directly accountable for HR results for the business Client Group. This position provides HR leadership (business partner, talent leader, culture steward, change leader), organizational and industry expertise, analysis to enable strategic business plans, and aligning key HR priorities with the strategic priorities of the business. The position is accountable for talent management, performance management, compensation, engagement, HR risk management, and HR solutions. Responsibility to coordinates delivery of HR services for the business with HR shared services and COE partners. This role will provide operational HR leadership for multiple Grain and Oilseeds export facilities.
This position will be based in Westwego and Reserve, Louisiana.
30% Business Leader:
- Understands business imperatives and people impacts of the BU works with sub-BU group to achieve BU/function strategy
- Analyzes industry and competitive issues impacting BU strategy, supporting BU HR Leader
- Participates in industry groups to conduct benchmarking
- Coordinates and aligns delivery of all HR services to the business to ensure value creation
- Participates in compliance related activities including HR assessments, AAPs reports and investigations
- Supports Industrial Relations Strategy for the Business, where applicable
- Supports M&A activities for the business, where applicable
- Utilizes HR assessments to manage risk, where applicable
30% Talent Leader:
- Identifies talent components of growth/strategy objectives including competencies for all employee segments
- Executes BU/Function talent management strategy outlined by BU HR Leader
- Champions employee development within the business
- Aligns BU objectives with compensation processes
- Supports movement of resources across the businesses
- Accountable for working with appropriate HR partners to ensure workforce/resource planning deliverables are executed
20% Culture Steward:
- Understands and shapes the desired culture of the workgroup and engagement
- Champions and promotes the employee performance management and development process
- Participates in action planning on engagement activities
- Promotes communication across the BU to ensure key messages to foster employee engagement
- Provides analysis and recommendations on engagement actions as well as benchmarking
- Supports BU (function) and Platform Diversity initiatives
10% Change Leader:
- Project management
- Builds change capability
10% Coaching and Development:
- Develops the HR team and build bench strength
- Coaches business partners and providing input to further develop business talent
Required:
- Bachelors degree
- 5+ years of Human Resources/Business experience
- 2+ years experience in HR Generalist foundation skills in Compensation, Employment Law, Employee Relations, and Talent processes
- Demonstrated business partner skills - ability to partner, build, and sustain positive working relationships.
- Thought leader and strong Influencing skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, technology enabled, able to manage a regional/global audience).
- Ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical level
- Ability to travel 30%
Preferred:
- PHR or SPHR
- Experience working in a plant, field, or non-headquarter location
- Experience and knowledge of labor and employment laws and understanding of their impact on the business
- Conflict management and resolution skills
- Strong drive for results with a practical result and outcome focus
- Understanding of industrial and labor relations and collective bargaining process
- Demonstrated collaboration with other businesses and/or functions
- Fluency in change management
- Demonstrated ability to manage from a distance
- Demonstrated experience participating and leading change efforts characterized by effective communications, strong partnerships with managers, and strong employee engagement
- Demonstrated track record in taking initiative, working independently and handling multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proactively address talent issues as they relate to business strategy

- Experience with assessing, coaching and developing people (includes indirect project roles)
- Demonstrated ability to manage and implement people processes and HR solution
