Description
Work as a member of the Eagle Ford Quality Management team, reporting to the Eagle Ford Inspection Supervisor, and be responsible for the Quality Assurance within Eagle Ford projects. The Inspection Lead ensures adherence to all quality processes, procedures and regulations on new construction fabrication and installation.
Responsibilities may include:
- QA/QC oversight of all projects from receiving material to project completion.
- Lead quality inspection execution for facility projects
- Assist and attend Project Kick-Off meetings, CCR and PSSRs.
- Ensure that projects are prepared for handover to the Eagle Ford operations teams.
- Responsible for ensuring that the quality assurance performance of Eagle Ford projects are met and are in accordance with the applicable industry codes, jurisdictional requirements COPC specifications and procedures
- Evaluate qualified manpower needs, coordinating field inspection crew
- Follow ConocoPhillips welding procedures (WPS) and welding testing process (PQR) to test welders as needed, ensure that tested contract welders are “ConocoPhillips qualified” with applicable records (WPQ)
- Periodically audit contractors utilized for inspection or NDE services.
- Participate, as requested, in equipment Failure Modes Analysis, Events Root Cause Analysis, Incident Investigations, and HSE Audits to foster continuous improvement.
- Onsite surveillances and Audits
- Maintain Project Non-conformance Report (NCR)
- Tracking action items to closure. Coordinating and scheduling field inspection crews
- Collaborate with Project Supervision (Construction, Engineering, Planning / Scheduling and Procurement) on project quality improvement initiatives.
Basic/Required:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license
- 3+ years experience as an inspector
- Certified in API 510 and API 570
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Project Management
- Proven project quality assurance and engineering experience with Oil and Gas facilities and pipelines
- Knowledge of industry codes
- Have a broad technical understanding of other aspects of the fabrication and manufacturing processes Ability to plan and coordinate inspection activities
- Possess good communications and reporting skills and an ability to function in a pro-active manner.
- Questioning and challenging attitude in the execution of Eagle Ford fabrication guidelines
