Description:

Bakken is a large unconventional resource play located in the Williston Basin of Montana and North Dakota and is considered a premier play in the Company's global asset portfolio.  The targeted reservoirs include the Lower Mississippian Middle Bakken and Upper Devonian Three Forks Formations found at depths of 9500 to 11,500 feet TVD.  These reservoirs are currently being exploited with 11 rigs using 10,000-foot laterals that are hydraulically fractured.

The Bakken play is a high profile, key growth driver for the corporation that has proven value through successful drilling over the last several years. Over the next 10 years we plan to exploit our 626,000 acre leased and mineral position by investing $7B with a 10-12 rig drilling program.
