Bakken Senior/Staff Reservoir Engineer

- Lead multi-disciplinary team effort, including land, drilling, completions, facilities, projects, production, regulatory, land, gas and crude marketing, to ensure successful execution of development program.
- Work with the multi-disciplinary team to create and implement pilot projects focused on optimization of well spacing, infill potential and completion techniques for the area
- Engage with Williston Projects organization to integrate findings from pilot projects and base well performance analysis with facilities and infrastructure design studies to maximize long term portfolio value
- Support or lead post-audit well reviews and incorporate findings into the ongoing development program
- Work with Land, Geology, Facilities Engineering and other disciplines to create development plans for assigned area
- Support drilling and post-TD scheduling efforts for areas of responsibility
- Prepare production reports/forecasts, EUR determination, reserves analysis and booking using analytical and simulation models when applicable
- Perform and collaborate with the Williston Reservoir Characterization team on subsurface and well performance studies
- Prepare Authorization For Expenditures (AFEs) for wells in core area of responsibility
- Support LRP process as it relates to the assigned development area
- Prepare exhibits and testify before North Dakota and Montana regulatory officials
- Collaborate with other Bakken implementation teams to develop and share best practices
- Identify and lead multi-disciplinary process improvement efforts
- Mentor early career reservoir engineers and participate/lead knowledge sharing efforts
Basic/Required:

Legally authorized to work in the United States

Bachelor degree in Engineering
-
3+ years of reservoir engineering experience

Willingness and able (with or without a reasonable accommodation) to travel up to 5%
Preferred:

Degree in Petroleum Engineering or similar
-
7+ years direct experience as a Reservoir and/or Petroleum Engineer

Experience in the following:

Unconventional reservoir development planning

Hydraulic fracturing completion techniques

Implementation of exploitation projects

Decline curve analysis and other reservoir performance analysis tools

Economic analysis

Reserves
-
Well performance analysis

Decision and Risk Analysis

Experience using PEEP economic evaluation software, OFM (Oil Field Manager), RTA, Spotfire, and WellSpring

Multi-disciplinary project leadership

Demonstrable leadership, analytical, critical thinking, problem solving skills, and decision making capabilities

Ability to work as an effective team member of a multidisciplinary team in a fast paced environment
