An exciting opportunity has become available for an innovative and dynamic individual to join our team as a 2IC Sonographer.  Middlemore hospital caters for both inpatient and outpatients doing a variety of examinations including general abdomens, obstetric and gynaecology, small parts, musculoskeletal, paediatric and neonatal and vascular examinations.
 
This position is responsible for providing supervision and leadership to the staff and student Sonographers in the absence of and with the Team Leader to ensure a safe and effective service.  In addition, the successful candidate will be required to provide clinical and technical expertise in the Modality and promote best clinical practice with the modality staff.
 
Our Radiology Department is located across two sites, Middlemore Hospital (MMH) an 800 bedded acute hospital and the Manukau HealthPark (MHP), offering non acute, elective and outpatient clinics.  All modalities are provided except PET CT and Nuclear Medicine.
