Overview of Main Responsibilities and Duties (Purpose of job):

To assist and undertake all the required work tasks as dictated by all Maintenance Inputs to the highest standards of performance delivery

Key Areas/Tasks:

- To undertake and deliver all required tasks as directed by scheduled maintenance work cards.

- The accomplishment of production tasks as delegated considering the most optimum method available in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

- To report any significant defect encountered on work in progress to relevant LAE.

- To ensure the plant equipment and premises in their work area are maintained to a satisfactory standard and that all discrepancies are duly reported

- To ensure all company and legal requirements appertaining to aircraft paperwork are duly complied with.

- To maintain acceptable airworthiness, safety and performance standards in his/her delegated areas of responsibility.

- To exercise control over staff allocated as directed by their supervisor, ensuring that all staff comply with company procedures.

- To accurately record their time at the appropriate document control centre during the allocated task and to ensure that all staff under their control do the same, including completion of paperwork in a satisfactory manner.

- To assist in special tasks and projects as required for the efficient and productive functioning of the Company and other such duties that may be required from time to time.

- To ensure the quality standard of work carried out by themselves and staff under their control.

- To ensure that all housekeeping standards are maintained at all times adhering to company H&S policy and procedures including Environmental Policy and Procedure.

Special requirements (e.g. working hours, mobility etc):

• 37 hour working week
• Must be willing to travel occasionally

 

Experience & Technical Skills:

Essential:

·         Appreciation of regulatory requirements and manufacturer produced documentation – ie AD’s/SB’s

·         Knowledge of Engineering technical processes and procedures

• The ability to continue to undertake regulatory training as dictated by the company

 

Desirable:

• Relevant Airline/Engineering Experience

 

Education & Qualifications:

Essential:

• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship

 

Desirable:

• A Licence
