Lead the Infrastructure Design and Architectural direction for large application / systems development programs and projects (i.e. Target.com, SAP Domestic)

Lead integration efforts and drive vendor partnerships to deliver program infrastructure needs and standards

Partner with the Program Manager Consultant and working team to identify key financial, resource and technology needs for programs

Contribute to project success by providing technical leadership across Infrastructure Engineering and Delivery teams

Consult with project teams to align infrastructure projects and existing services with enterprise architecture solutions, representing multiple platforms, services, or tools

Lead architectural efforts to translate partner needs to Infrastructure technical solutions based on a balance of architecture standards and plans, total cost of ownership and feasibility

Identify new platform or service technologies which integrate within infrastructure and guide proof of concept for these new technologies

Champion industry best practices and scalable architectures for improving service delivery through automation & eliminating waste

Drives Infrastructure governance of standards, principles and best practices for newly identified programs and/or nonstandard patterns through architectural review boards
Minimum Qualifications
-
BA/BS or equivalent experience
-
8-10 years total work experience
-
Has a working knowledge of designing and constructing infrastructure platform architectures (server, network, desktop, database, systems management)

Ability to stay current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
-
Ability to explain technical solutions to technical and non-technical teams
-
Provide coaching to technical team members
Desired Qualifications:
-
Experience automating infrastructure using tools such as CFEngine, Chef, Puppet, etc.
