The Future Talent Program features internships that last 10-12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. The projects that you work in can be in one of the following areas:

PROCESS DEVELOPMENT, SCALE UP AND LAUNCH

Work in teams to bring research discoveries to full production scale by applying engineering, biology, chemistry and pharmaceutics skills to bench-scale processes.
Conceive, develop and implement new processing and manufacturing technologies
Work with teams to develop processes for new products, using chemically- or biologically- derived products
Support process development and product development with pilot plant scale up, drug supply preparation and technology transfer to operations groups

EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES DESIGN
Design and build advanced manufacturing plants, laboratory and office facilities
Involvement with all phases of project management from the first engineering drawing to the last phase of project start up

MANUFACTURING
Support line production and maintenance operations
Maintain manufacturing processes at high levels of performance
Engineer plant site improvements to enhance safety, quality and the environment
Optimize existing processes to achieve improvements in process quality, yield and efficiency.

LOCATIONS: West Point, PA; Danville, PA; Rahway, NJ; Kenilworth, NJ; Elkton, VA; Durham, NC; Wilson, NC

Specific internship openings in MMD may be in the following areas:
Center for Material Science & Engineering (West Point, PA; Rahway, NJ; Kenilworth, NJ) performs analytical evaluation of raw materials, intermediates, and final products to aide in investigation and process improvement evaluations
Chemical Process Development & Commercialization (Rahway, NJ) and Pharmaceutical Commercialization Technology (West Point, PA, Kenilworth, NJ) groups perform process development and demonstration for new chemical and pharmaceutical processes;
Vaccines Manufacturing Science & Commercialization and Biologics Manufacturing Science & Commercializaton (Kenilworth, NJ, West Point, PA) is responsible for the development and implementation of vaccine and therapeutic protein processes;
Global Engineering Services (Whitehouse Station, NJ with projects at other sites) is responsible for designing and project management for capital projects;
Large Molecule Operations (West Point, PA, Elkton, VA, Durham, NC) and Small Molecule Operations (Danville, PA; Wilson, NC) are responsible for oversight and continuous improvement for manufacturing.
Technical Operations (West Point, PA, Danville, PA; Elkton, VA, Durham, NC) is responsible for process implementation, validation and maintenance for small or large molecule processes; as well as continuous improvement of existing processes.

Currently in junior level curriculum, working toward BS in Chemical
Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or Chemistry (with Analytical focus)
Available for 10 week internship beginning June 2015

Good team player and ability to work independently
