Casual Certified Health Care Assistants - ADHB Nursing And Midwifery Bureau

The Nursing and Midwifery Bureau at Auckland District Health Board (ADHB) is looking for Health Care Assistants (HCAs) to be employed on a casual basis who can work AM and/or PM shifts Monday to Sunday.

Health Care Assistants help support the effective day-to-day operation of a designated department at ADHB by undertaking core department activities and assisting in the provision of patient care supporting patients, families/whanau and the health care team.

Health Care Assistants are required to work under the supervision of Registered Nurses/Midwives or Registered Health Professionals to support in the delivery of patient care, maintaining a safe and pleasant functional environment.

You will have at least completed three years secondary schooling and have proficiency in reading, writing, speaking English, intermediate plus level computer skills and be able to meet the physical demands of the role.

Completion of the 12 week Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) Health Support Assistance course or the 12 week Unitec Health Care Worker course is essential (both level 4). You will have a minimum of one years experience as a Health Care Assistant post qualification.

These are casual positions on an ‘as and when’ required basis so there are no guaranteed hours. You must be flexible to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week.  This will not be suitable for those who are working full time elsewhere.

 

Hourly rate $16.86 to $19.46 plus 8% holiday pay.

 

Currently we need casuals who can work AM and/or PM shifts Monday to Sunday.
