We are currently recruiting to hire a Service Business Development Manager to join the North American Regional Service Team. This position will be located in Rancho Cordova, California.

 

The Service Business Development Manager will report to the VP of Service, NA and will work to support the development of service business for the Healthcare, Industrial & Government, and Entertainment & Corporate lines of business. The primary responsibilities of the position include:

 

1.  Working with the VP of Service and Sales VPs for each line of business in NA to define regional service revenue targets to support Barco’s worldwide service strategy.

2.  Serving as the service sales expert in NA. Assist the “go-to-market” strategy for service offerings and develop plans and programs to drive service revenue growth.  

3.  Participating directly to support proposal development and contract negotiations when required to close large complex deals, to introduce new service models or to support international service agreements.

4.  Managing and supporting the internal Barco Sales teams and Service Channel Partners as they promote service offerings and work to increase service revenue. Provide sales training, assist with identifying the correct service models and offerings, provide support for preparation of quotations, support revenue forecasts, evaluate pricing and assist in negotiations upon request.

5.  Working closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Sales, and other functional groups as needed to define new service offerings, to understand value propositions and meet unique requirements.

6.  Understanding the competitive environment in the service industry, industry trends and service benchmarks. Collect information on competitive service offerings and perform analysis to properly position Barco offerings to provide “best in class” service.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or an equivalent combination of experience and education, MBA preferred. 

·         Proven experience in service business development with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Proven ability to define and sell innovative, high-value service offerings

·         Excellent leadership and teamwork; demonstrated ability motivate others

·         Knowledge of business principles and basic financial analysis
