Qantas Ground Services (QGS) is a newly created entity under Qantas Airways. It has been established to provide ground handling services and support Qantas Airport Services when required.

With the opportunity to work in an environment that fosters strong workplace relationships and inspires flexibility, your new position as Ground Crew will see you working in a fast paced team environment in different areas of the airport including the Freight Terminal. You will be actively participating in the loading and unloading of passenger baggage or freight, basic cleaning of the aircraft, providing further assistance to less mobile passengers and operating equipment to ensure on-time departure of aircraft.

You will be responsible for:

Reading and interpreting hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests and baggage and cargo routing tags
Operating equipment, loading and unloading baggage/freight, repetitively lifting items up to 32kgs
Working outdoors in all weather conditions
Conducting a basic clean of incoming and outgoing aircraft.

Are you:

Holder of a valid provisional or full state/territory drivers licence and able to drive manual vehicles?
Holder of a valid forklift licence?
Physically fit and able to perform regular lifting duties of up to 32kgs?

You must be available to attend a 3 hour assessment centre if successful through the initial recruitment process.

The recruitment process will also require you to pass:

Medical Check including health & fitness and Alcohol and Other Drugs test; and
Security / Background Check including Federal Police Check.
