We have an outstanding opportunity for a PRN (casual)

RN in our Operating Room!

 

You must have a minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (or very similar) experience to be considered.

Howard Young Medical Center, located in beautiful Woodruff, Wisconsin, is an acute care facility that provides a level of care not commonly found in a typical rural hospital. Specially trained physicians, nurses and technical personnel are dedicated to caring for

the health and wellness of those in our communities.

 

Shifts for this position are variable, and variable days of the week.

The schedule will be discussed in depth at time of interview.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS or RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Perform direct and indirect patient care for adult and geriatric patients. Document data appropriately.     
• Organize, adjust, and complete assignments within an appropriate time frame based on changing department needs and patient caseload.
• Prioritize, delegate, and effectively communicate with other health team members.
• Demonstrate flexibility in response to unexpected changes in work volume, emergencies, staffing, or scheduling changes.
• Seek ways to improve knowledge and skills (e.g. continuing education, career advancement).
• Actively participate in or support multidisciplinary quality improvement activities.
• Demonstrate expertise and enthusiasm in teaching others.

 

 

AGE OF PATIENT CARED FOR:  Newborn to Geriatrics

 

 

Requirements for this position:

• You must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.  
• You must have current Wisconsin licensure as a Registered Nurse, or be eligible to obtain.
• At least one year of Operating Room (or very similar) experience is required.
• Current BLS certification Shifts for this position are variable, and variable days of the week.
