Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, ranked in FORBES magazine's elite "100 Best Companies to Work For" for nine consecutive years, is currently seeking a Chaplain/CPE Coordinator to provide system leadership and supervision to the Pastoral Care Departments.
 
The Chaplain/CPE Coordinator will contribute oversight and coordination of the Chaplaincy program and the Clinical Pastoral Education Program, ensuring that pastoral care services to patients and families exercise the mission and vision of the organization. 
 
Duties will include:
  1. Coordinate the ongoing process of pastoral care delivery to the patients and families incorporating age related and developmental specific requirements.          
  2. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and accountability by overseeing budget preparation and monthly budget oversight for multiple cost centers and donor funds.
  3. Manage the performance and utilization of staff for effective and efficient services to include chaplains, educators, interns and residents on multi campuses.
  4. Participates in the performance improvement process for the department; including responsibility for accreditation readiness and preparation for the Clinical Pastoral Education Program.
  5. Supervises and coordinates the pastoral education program and other education and training processes related to the delivery of healthcare on all CHOA campuses.      
  6. Is Responsible for the daily operations of the Chaplain Program and the Clinical Pastoral Education Programs for the system. 
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years of ministry experience to include 1 year healthcare experience, pediatric preferred.  One year of leadership experience is required.  All candidates must be Certified as an Associate or Full Supervisor by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, ordained or recognized as pastor in chosen denomination, and obtained a Master of Divinity from an accredited graduate school of theology required or equivalent.
