National Heritage Academies is seeking a Substitute Special Education Paraprofessional at Taylor Exemplar located in Taylor, MI.

 

Schedule:  35 hours per week beginning Sept 2 - October 10 and again from Jan 5, 2015 - Apr 24, 2015

Responsibilities 

Under the supervision of classroom teachers the special education paraprofessional will provide assistance to a student or group of students who are in need of one-on-one academic and behavioral intervention services.  Paraprofessionals will be of good personal character and should also have knowledge of and the ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, or mathematics.

All qualified candidates must have completed at least 60 credit hours or have passing scores on either the ACT WorkKeys assessment or The ETS Parapro assessment.  Candidates who have a valid teaching certificate are strongly preferred.
