Your new position as Senior Analyst, Accounting & Reporting Services is a critical position which contributes towards the operations and outputs of the reconciliations team within Financial Services. Key objectives are to ensure processes and procedures are fully documented, accounting controls and efficient methods are implemented, quality information is delivered, and that unanticipated financial exposures do not arise. Reconciliations span Cash, Accounts Payable and Debtors, Passenger Revenue, Freight and Taxes.
You will be responsible for:
- Hands-on supervision and completion of all reconciliations to a high standard within scheduled monthly deadlines;
- Providing shareholder stewardship and implementing initiatives that support a cost effective and sustainable business;
- Proactively identifying new approaches with the objective of achieving greater efficiencies and customer service excellence;
- Improving department profile and responsiveness image by actively setting SLAs and KPIs with customers, outsourced suppliers and regularly reporting against these;
- Support, lead, develop and motivate the Reconciliations team;
To be successful in this role you will display:
- Degree qualification in accounting or related discipline;
- Professional accounting qualification or studying towards qualification (CPA/CA);Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to deal with complexity;
- Experience in complex bank account reconciliations;
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated management and people leadership experience;
- Strong financial management and people leadership experience;
- Ability to control multiple projects and issues at any one time;
- Advanced MS Excel and MS Access (and other database applications);
- Strong analytical skills; and
- Experience in embracing change and the ability to process re-engineer.
