Under the supervision of the Plant Manager,the Business Unit Manager directs the activities of the department in areas ofProduction, Maintenance, Safety, and Quality. The Business Unit Manager isresponsible for producing Kraft products efficiently and safely withinestablished policy and processes. The Business Unit Manager advises and assistsPlant Manager as a member of her/his team and may assume Plant Managerresponsibilities in her/his absence.
Coordinate Quality efforts of alloperations in their area during manufacturing in order to meet productspecifications and customer requirements. Participate or lead in developingcorrective and preventive actions as well as any other type of measure tocorrect or improve product or process quality and monitor implementation andeffectiveness. Implement and monitor the Quality System and ensure conformancewithin the business unit/Work towards process and product improvement.
Coordinatefollow-up and ensure effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions as wellas any other measure aiming to correct or improve quality of products andprocesses. Participate in the team responsible for managing critical situationspotentially impacting product quality and retrieval of product, if necessary. Participatein development, execution and coordination of Quality training in theirrespective departments.
Participateor lead in developing corrective and preventive actions as well as any othertype of measure to correct or improve product or process quality and monitorimplementation and effectiveness. Ensure CAPA (Corrective and PreventativeAction) processes are being followed driving towards root cause solutions. Obtainlow cost producer status on all SKU's.
Lowest inventory levels ofpackaging, raw and finished goods.
Achieve annual productivity targets.Build productivity pipeline to ensure year over year delivery of costreductions
Share and seek best practices fromother facilities and seek and implement industry best practices. Develop capitalplan and execute against those plans. Achieve compliance to schedule targets. Continuousreductions in line downtime Be responsive to stakeholder needs and inquiries. .Drivetoward a Zero TIR metric All satisfactory on safety audits 100% attendance atall scheduled safety meetings (supervisors, safety reps and associates). Addressall unsafe conditions or unsafe acts.
Insure no safety inspection itemsrepeat on next inspection.
Bachelor's degree inoperation management, business or related field preferred. Along with 3 – 5years of extensive management experience,.
