NO AGENCIES PLEASEOverviewTo comply with Brazilian Legislation that requires the permanent presence of a safety technician at work place when the company staffing is higher than 101 employees.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and Health programs adopted at work place are in compliance with Country Rules and Company Polices
- Maintain all documentation record up to date and available for internal and external (Governmental Agency) audits
- Be available on site to assure employees are complying with safety rules, interacting with frontline and management employees from Tech Ops, Airport Ops and Cargo Ops division to promote the safety culture at work place
- Perform analyzes of activities related to health and safety at work place using scientific methods and techniques , observing Legal and institutional guidelines that aim to eliminate, control or permanently reduce risk workplace accidents and improve the conditions of the workplace, to preserve the physical and mental health of workers;
- Possess good understanding of all Brazilian’s Federal and State safety regulations that may be applied;
- Promote debates, safety meetings and training to disseminate the safety culture to avoid workplace accidents and diseases;
- Communicates effectively with other departments
- Able to process information and put together action plans to correct deficiencies
- Ability to complete all required forms and reports that may be related to accidents and injuries at workplace
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
Education
- Must have Safety Labor Technical Certification / Diploma - Tecnico de Segurança do Trabalho
- Labor Minister Register - Registro de Tecnico de Seguranca do Trabalho junto ao Ministerio do Trabalho e Emprego
- CREA register (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Arquitetura) - preferred
Knowledge/Skills
- Must have knowledge and experience in compliance with Brazilian labor Safety Rules
- Good communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Experience
- Must have 5 years previous experience working as a Safety technician
Other
- Language skills - Portuguese and English required
- Must have a valid Brazilian B category Driver's License
- Must be legally authorized to work in Brazil for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
