This position reports to the US Controller and is responsible for a full spectrum of accounting functions in our fast paced finance organization. These functions include supervising staff and supporting the monthly, quarterly, yearly accounting close process. In addition, this position will work closely with the US Controller to drive overall process improvements that promote scalability, and provide support of quarterly review and annual audit process
Responsibilities:
* Ensuring integrity & accuracy of financial accounting of sub-ledger activities & resolves complex accounting issues.
* Responsible for coordinating and monitoring all sub-ledger activities with general ledger, including the month-end close process, review of reconciliations and journal entries
* Manage revenue recognition and provide technical support
* Support cost accounting – requires strong manufacturing cost experience
* Experience in intercompany accounting, consolidations and eliminations
* Leads & directs daily activity of accounting staff and help drive accounting process standardization & KPI improvement
* Manage year end process and reporting including timely compliance & tax reporting
* Identify opportunities and help implement process improvements or automation.
* Review payment batches in accordance with policy (via wire, EFT, ACH and pcard)
* Responsible for reconciling & analyzing assigned general ledger accounts
* A 5-8 years experience in similar accounting role with proven supervisory experience
* Bachelor degree in accounting or finance and MBA / CPA preferred
* Must have strong technical accounting skills
* Well versed with Oracle, Concur & Hyperion with superb excel skills
* Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as a team player.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Commitment to excellent customer service with high sense of urgency
* Detail oriented with the ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy
* Must be able to interact effectively with all levels.
* Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and follow up skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines as necessary.
