Senior Applications Analysts provide Application & Implementation Support, technology consultation, and operational support to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta User community.  To advocate for users needs and coordinate support requests within IS&T.  Assists in the training, coaching and mentoring of team members.  Assists Apps Analyst by providing expert knowledge in Applications support.   
 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Provide technology consulting and customer support services to service lines, departments, individuals, and co-workers. Demonstrated by minimally performing the following tasks.
  2. Meeting independently and proactively with department heads and/or super-users on a routine basis to identify and prioritize their needs.  Documenting and maintaining the needs indicating responsible parties and due dates.  
  3. Responding to Peregrine Calls within designated times according to priority to insure that break/fix issues are addressed and documented. Assist Apps Analyst as needed to be sure that calls are answered and followed up on efficiently. 
  4. Performing "rounds" with departments to maintain a casual interface with the individuals and to focus on relationship building with the department.
  5. Coordinate programming, project and capital requests with the appropriate IS&T teams.
  6. Maintain a strong and positive relationship with all application vendors.
  7. Provide project management services and support with limited management interaction demonstrating the ability to perform independently with  broad scope projects.
  8. Demonstrated by minimally performing the following tasks.
  9. When project managing a project, ensure that the project and documentation follows IS&T Project Management Protocol.
  10. When participating as a team member on a project, provide input that advocates the user perspective demonstrating the ability to provide expert knowledge.  The focus should be on the ability to support the system post live with complete system documentation.
  11. Work with End Users to complete Project Request forms as needed.
  12. Provide support services, with very little management input, including but not limited to: high level applications software support, coordination of programming requests, system upgrade coordination, vendor liaison, and on-call coverage.
  13. Document support processes, maintain status reporting and issues resolution.
  14. Ensure compliance with IS&T, Children's, JCAHO and HIPPA guidelines, policies and   procedures.
  15. Assists in the orientation of new team members, serves as a resource for new employees and other staff members.
