Please note that this position will be hired under the subsidiary Continental Airlines divisional work rules until joint work rules are obtained.

 
Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety observations on AOA, recording findings and alerting leadership of potential safety concerns
  • Asist in conducting safety training
  • Assist in investigating incidents, mishaps, injuries and discoveries
  • Guide trucks and assist caterers as needed
  • Problem sove and take proactive steps to ensure established company safety practices and policies are followed
  • Promote, encourage and enforce safety first
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent required

Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently required
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills reqired
  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures and ability to promote safety in the work enviornment required
  • Solid knowledge of airline catering operations with direct exposure to the Transportation Department required
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products including MS Outlook, Word and Excel required
     

Experience

  • Previous experience in a safety team member or advocate role preferred
  • Previous AOA experience preferred

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid US driver's license
  • Must be willing to work any shift in a 24/7 week, including weekends, nights and holidays
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview requried to meet job qualification
